Obituary of Ronald Larsen

Ronald James Larsen, born December 30, 1942 in Pasco, WA to Helen (Blondo) and Robert J Larsen, passed away in his home May 6, 2018 following a brief battle with lung cancer.

Ron, better known to many as “Beef”, moved throughout the Pacific Northwest as a child. His family moved from Pendleton, OR to Goldendale his sophomore year in high school. He graduated from Goldendale High School in 1961, began a construction career as an iron worker and then a heavy machine operator. In 1971 he married Barbara June Van de Vanter-Greenfield they had one daughter together, Rhonda. Ron retired from the Operating Engineers Local 701 after a 30 year career in construction. Ron spent many hours on the golf course when not working.

Surviving Ron in death are Rhonda & Donn Bash and their two daughters Madison and Lilly; stepchildren Van (Carol) Greenfield, Dara (Danny) Eastham, Jodi (Larry) Bellamy and Jana (Denise) Greenfield; 7 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, and brother, Robert J. Larsen.
