John "Johnnie" Lynn Dietrich, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at his home. He was born on Jan. 24, 1953, in Marinette, Wis., to James and Beatrice (Hill) Dietrich.

John grew up in the area, graduating from Wausaukee High School, and later attending NWTC in Marinette.

He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam aboard the USS Peoria, and worked most of his life as an over-the-road truck driver.

John married Diane Vohwinkle of Menominee, MI in 1986, in Marinette, WI.

They lived in Green Bay, WI for most of their married life, before returning to Marinette, WI five years ago. John loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than being in the woods, or on the water.

John is survived by his wife, Diane;
son Justin (Krystal), and their children: Joshua and Jackson Dietrich of Green Bay, WI;
daughter Taylor (Justin) Neeper and their son, Parker Neeper of Lake City, Penn.;
his mother Beatrice Dietrich;
sisters: Jeanette Paul, Janice Heagle and Joei Garrigan; and brothers: Tom Dietrich and Jim Dietrich.

John was preceded in death by his father, James A. Dietrich; his brother, Jeffrey Dietrich; and his sister, Jeanie Thomson.

A celebration of John's life will be announced at a future date.
