Valders - James Endries, 78 passed away peacefully August 4, 2018 during the waning crescent moon at Aurora Medical Center Two Rivers.
James was born February 13th, 1940 son of the late John & Rosalinda (Sukowaty) Endries during the waxing crescent moon. On October 6th, 1962 he married Jerriann Blatz at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He joined the Navy in 1958 after graduating high school from St. Gregory's Catholic Schools. After leaving the Navy in 1960, he hauled milk and worked at Tecumseh. In 1968 he purchased his first farm where he raised cattle and worked the land. He continued to work at Kohler, and Riesterer & Schnell during that time as well. In 1983 James fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a dairy farmer. In his free time he enjoyed watching corn grow, reading the farmer's almanac, dancing, fishing, hunting, sheapshead, cribbage, his many years of card club and later in life he enjoyed bingo, gambling trips, and spending time with his grandkids. James was a member at St. Gregory Catholic Church and a longtime member of Wagner-Eberle-Sukowaty VFW Post #477, St. Nazianz.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years; Jerriann, his children; Laurie Endries, Nancy Kleinhans and her children, Ryan & Alex; Paul (Cheri) Endries and their children, Melissa (Brant), Dylan & Jacob; Tim (Julie) Endries and their children, Evan (Jenni), Lindsay (Zach), Brianna; Rick (Lori) Endries, and their children, Brandi (Nick), Michael, Mitchell; Carrie (Joe) Williams, and their children, Austin, Jena, & Kailey; Rocky (Lisa Otto) and their daughter, Rylee. James is further survived by 12 great grandchildren, sisters; Sally Lettenberger, Joanne (John) Firkus, brothers; Leo (Ok Hui) Endries, Mark Endries, Roger Endries, Gary (Ruth) Schnell, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Richard Lettenberger, John Kumbalek, George Woelfel, Arlene Blatz, Eugene Blatz, Mary Jane (Jim) Platz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; John & Rosalinda, an infant son; Peter, brothers; Alois (Julianne) Endries, Eugene Endries, sisters; Genrose Lettenberger, Estella (Herb) Boettcher, Florence Woelfel, Anna Mae (Jim) Rosecky, Carol Kumbalek, brothers-in-law; Delmar Lettenberger, Glenroy (Hennie) Blatz, Marvin Blatz & Jeanette Blatz.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated for James on Wednesday August 8, 2018 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church (214 Church St. St. Nazianz).
Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery with full military honors performed by Post #477.
