"LaVeda" was the daughter of Otto & Louisa Hesher. She and her sister Ella Mae were graduates of Brown-Mackie Business College, of Salina, KS. She was employed in the banking industry throughout her working life.
She married Frank Bennett on Jan. 1st, 1939 and is buried next to him. She was a favorite Aunt to her sister Ella's children and granchildren. Known to them as "Aunt Dee". Two of her cousins were also named "Clara" [Clara Kelley & Clara Swaney-Hesher], hence she was known by her middle name. During her retirement years, she and sister Ella Mae assited their cousin Dixie Hesher-Bogart in the compliation of a family genealogy that would have otherwise have been lost to history.
