Son of John Delmar Heath and Josephine 'Josie' Henry, his 2nd wife. Young Jay died age 17 of pneumonia and influenza in South Dakota but he was returned to Missouri for burial. Headstone reads 1919 but death cert and census shows him having died 1920. His mother Josephine 'Josie' Mariah (Henry) (Heath) remarried Mont William Fanning and died as Josephine Mariah Fanning died in 1943 and is buried in New Hope Cemetery, Harrison Co MO. She was the daughter of John W. Henry and his wife Mary Jane Walker buried in Matkins Cemetery.
