Julian “JP” Starling, 81, of Sparr, FL passed away Aug. 24, 2018 in Ocala, FL with his family by his side.

A memorial service will be held at Countryside Funeral Home in Anthony, FL on Friday, Aug 31, 2018 at 7:00 P.M.

JP was born in Starke, FL on May 6, 1937. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rachel; his children Phil (Renee), Karen, Donna (Perry), Craig (Vanessa) and Josh; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings Lionel (Mary), Doyle (Deborah) and Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy & Pearl Starling; siblings Everett, AT, Paul, and Juanita.

He served in the U.S. Army as part of the 101st Airborne division as a paratrooper, participating in more than 50 jumps. His pastimes included gardening, hunting, fishing, carpentry, horseshoes and dancing at any family party.
