George married Gloria Bracken, and became an instant father to her eight children.
He was employed as a safety inspector for Altec Industries for more than 20 years, retiring in 2005.
George is survived by his wife, Gloria McCauley; daughters, Debbie (Todd) Young, Donna (Tom) Browning, Diana Christian, Denise (Ron) Moses, Deidre Finchum, Deanna (Michael) Barnhart and Danyelle (Steve) Burkholder; sons, Jon Bracken and James Bracken (Carole); 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life for George from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at Ladoga Christian Church. Afterwards there will be a private gathering for the family.
Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel.
