David Inness Carter was born July 19, 1944 to Wendell E and Helen R (Inness) Carter in Ohio at Patterson Field near Dayton. The family was military and moving happened often. David graduated from Mascoutah High School in Illinois in 1962 and started college at the University of Nebraska. He became a loyal Nebraska Husker. After one year he transferred to George Washington University. In 1966 he started Law School at the University of Denver but left in his second year and enlisted in the Air Force. He served 4 years and was in Guam and Thailand in the Vietnam era. After service he went to the University of New Mexico Graduate School of Business and earned an MBA. David died suddenly in Denver, CO of a heart attack. His father and mother preceded him in death in 2001 and 2006 and are buried at Ft. Logan also. David is survived by two sisters.
