John N. Wroth, (my great grandfather) son of William Wroth and Lydia Bowman and was husband to Lillian Maude Schwinderman, married March 6, 1894 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Together they had a total of 8 Children: Earl, Pearl, David, Daisy, George, Jennie, Eva and Beulah. George died at the age of 3 and Beulah died at the age of 9 months. They lived the better part of their lives in Eddyville and Keg Creek Iowa. Sometime between 1906 and 1907, John and his oldest brother Thomas Frank Wroth set out on horseback and headed to California. Tom was not married, but Johns wife Lillian packed up their 5 living children and took the train to meet John and Tom in California. Once in California, John became a teamster and the family was living at 211 N. Bunker Hill in Los Angeles, California. They moved and John died at their home at 623 N. Figueroa St. May 21, 1913 of Tuberculosis of the Lungs. After his death the family moved back to Bunker Hill in Los Angeles.∼John Wroth married Lillian Schwinderman 1894 in Iowa.
