Elsie Thimgan, 79, Beatrice, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at the Beatrice Manor. She was born Dec. 25, 1914, at Kelso in Cherry County. She moved to Lincoln with her family at a young age. She married Melvin Thimgan on April 20, 1936. She was a past member of the Temple Chapter of the Eastern Star in Lincoln.
Survivors: daughter, Judy McKee and husband Larry, Beatrice; granddaughters, Denise Thornburg and husband Kirk of Beatrice and Diane Rinne-Brannagan and husband Craig of Hastings; six great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Hartman of Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R.; parents, Nathan and Martha (Wiehe) Hartman; five brothers and four sisters.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, Lincoln Memorial Mausoleum, Lincoln, Pastor George Matthews officiating. Visitation: at Hartman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, Hartman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice.
