Henry Jackson Whidden, 72, Polk County pioneer, died at the home of his sister, Mrs J.M. Griffin, Hesperides, this morning at 3:10 o'clock after a long illness. He was married to Julia Tyler, March 18, 1896, in Bartow, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversery last March. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Julia Whidden; a daughter, Mrs T. Frank Collier, Lake Wales; Three sisters, Mrs. J.M. Griffin, Hesperides, Mrs. Amanda Tucker, Lake Wales, Mrs. Beulah Collier, of West Lake Wales and one brother, Noah Whidden, West Lake Wales
