Alda was born in Ott, Arkansas, on November 9, 1914. She was the daughter of Ben Barrett and Eva Jane Vaughan. On June 26, 1934, in Cleveland, Oklahoma she married James Hurbert Casey. Mr. Casey preceded her in death on January 1, 1963. Alda was a member of the Church of Christ of Cleveland. She died Sunday, June 26, 1988, at the Cleveland Area Hospital.
Survivors include . . . one son; Dennis of Plymouth, Indiana; two brothers Woody Barrett of Cleveland and Ben Barrett of Dallas; two sisters: Ruth Cook and Vesta Cruzen of Cleveland; and four grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services of Alda M. Casey of Cleveland were held Tuesday, June 28, 1988, at Woodland Cemetery with Norman Easter officiating. Interment was under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
