New Holstein - Catherine "Cathy" A. Watson, age 72, of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls following a 19 month battle with brain cancer.
Cathy was born July 24, 1946, in Berlin, WI to the late Peter & Eva (Cobler) Hauman. She graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1964. On December 27, 1983, she married Daniel Watson. Cathy was employed with the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein until she retired in 2002.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein. Cathy enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and watching the Green Bay Packers. Her most pride and joy was spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Daniel; seven children, John (Bonnie) Heimerman of Greenville, WI, Tammie (Craig) Alt of Kaukauna, WI, David Heimerman of New Holstein, Chad Watson of St. Nazianz, Windy Drews of Batavia, IL, Julie Kopsi of Antigo, WI, Jesse (Christina) Christopherson of St. Nazianz; 31 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gordon (Sandy) Hauman of New Holstein; her sister, Agnes Brinkman of Chilton. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Peter & Eva Hauman; a brother, Hank Hauman; and her sister, Carol Strupp.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at St. John United Church of Christ, 2111 Church Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Richard York will preside. Cathy will be laid to rest in the Eaton Union Cemetery in the Town of Eaton.
