Mr. Donald Lewis Basinet, 88, of Albany died Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Willson Hospice House.
Service time to be announced.
Born in Whitinsville, MA, Mr. Basinet retired after 30 years in United States Marine Corp. He was in the Naval Reserve association and a member of the VFW. Mr. Basinet was also a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gretha Ann Basinet; his parents Raymond and Elizabeth Basinet; a brother Raymond Basinet and sister Betty Hagin.
Survivors include his three daughters Elizabeth Myler of Albany; Gigi Carmichael and her husband David of Leesburg; Donna Duran and her husband John of Auburn, AL; Grandchildren Jason Mashburn and his wife of Albany; Breanne Bonner and her husband Tim of Albany; Devin Duran Smith and her husband Shane Charlotte, NC; Alison Carmichael Cauley and her husband Ryan of Leesburg; eight grandchildren.
