Loran Jack Beebe, 79, of Anacortes, Washington died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

He was born on April 10, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Lewis and Retta (Hutson) Beebe.

"Jack" served in the United States Navy, the U.S. Army Reserve, the Wyoming National Guard, and the Air Force Reserve. He was a police officer in Casper, Wyoming from 1952 – 1965 and in 1965 joined the United States Customs Service, until his retirement in 1999.

In retirement he enjoyed watching sports and playing cribbage.

Jack is survived by his wife, Janet Beebe of Anacortes; son and daughter-in-law, G. David and Lydia Beebe; daughters and sons-in-law, Lora and Carl Steers, Lisa and Michael Willenbrock; grandchildren, Heather Beebe Stevens, Joshua Beebe, Katie Rosenthal, Erin G. Sanchez, Michael P. Steers, Andrew C. Steers; and great-grandchildren, Isabel Stevens, Katy Steers, Matthew Steers, Amelie Steers, Tyler Rosenthal, and Landon Rosenthal.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands.
