Delbert L. Monk 58 of Tuppers Creek, died Saturday enroute to Mountain State Hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home. A life-long resident of the county, he was employed by Dupont as a truck driver. He was a trustee of Union Valley Gospel Tabernacle. Surviving are his widow Gladys; six sons Clifford of Fremont,Calif., Donald, of Newark Calif., Charles of Dunbar, Carrol and Denver of Charleston, and Paul at home; a daughter, Mrs Connie Casto of Little Tyler Mountain; his mother , Mrs Minnie Monk of Charleston; two brothers, Shelby of Charleston and James of Tad; Three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Nunley of Tad, Mrs. Stella Keffer and Mrs. Goldie Jarrell, both of Charleston; and 17 grandchildren. The body is at Cunningham Funeral Home. It will be taken to the residence at 10am today
