Richard Fenley Toof was one of three children born to Clyde Burr and Anna (Fecht) Toof. He married the love of her life on October 16, 1950 in Columbus and they had five children together. Richard was a proud Marine who served during World War II and he worked for the Columbus Telegram for nearly 40 years before his retirement. Richard was very involved in the Columbus community, loved spending time with his family and was a lifelong Husker fan.

Richard is survived by his five children, one sister and four grandchildren and was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathryn and the love of his life, Beryl.
