Private graveside services for Buddie Alma Wade, 83, of Houston were held at 2 p.m. today at the Blue Springs Cemetery, Etoile, with Rev. Billy Brown officiating.
Mrs. Wade died Tuesday morning in a Lufkin hospital after a long illness. Born in Pike County, Arkansas, she was a former resident of Arkansas and resided in Houston since 1938. She was retired from the nursing profession, having worked at Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston for 25 years. She was a Protestant.
Survivors: two sons, Preston Cox of Hot Springs, Ark. and Reece Cox of Houston; daughter, Faye Brown of Porter; sister Chloe Cox of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
