wife of Hugh Kerr Aiken, of Winnsboro, SC, (1822-1865) married 15 Dece. 1852, in Alabama. He was killed in the Civil War and is buried in the Sion Presbyterian Cemetery in Fairfield Co., SC
children: Nancy Kerr called Nannie, John Gayle called Gayle, Carolina Margaret called Carrie, and Mary Gayle AIKEN.
Her sisters included Anna Maria Gayle Bayne buried in Metairie, Amelia Gayle Gorgas buried in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Helen Gayle Locke buried in Greensboro, Ala.
