CLOVERDALE - William Schlegel, 78, Rt. 1, Cloverdale died at 8:30 p. m. Sunday in Paulding County Hospital where he was a patient one day.
He was born August 28, 1889 in Decatur, Indiana, a son of Samuel and Rose (Moore) Schlegel. He was a retired farm laborer.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Smith, Cloverdale, and Mrs. Margaret Coons, Eden, N.Y.; a step daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Vice, Cecil and seven grandchildren.
Services were held in Crowell-Den Herder funeral home, Paulding, with the Rev. John Zinsmeister officiating. Burial followed in Rochester cemetery, Cecil.
