DAVID ALEXANDER TINSLEY, 50, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, in Fort Wayne, while serving his community. Born in Bloomington, Ind., he was a son of Albert and Bonnie Tinsley of Spencer, Ind.; who survive. David was a graduate of Owen Valley High School of Spencer, Ind., and later completed his Bachelor's degree from Ball State University. He proudly served as a police officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department for 16 years. David was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was also an Eagle Scout. He is survived by his wife, Kristina Tinsley (nee Jackson) of Fort Wayne; children, Tyler (Kori Jennings) Tinsley of Richmond, Ind., Ian (Rachel) Evener-Tinsley of Muncie, Ind., and Alexandra "Lexie" Tinsley of Fort Wayne; and siblings, Albert (Leann) Tinsley of Indianapolis, Ind., Lane (Richard) Vargas of Bloomington, Ind., and Scott Tinsley of Salem, Ind. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at the church. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
