Helen Elizabeth Andrews Beavers, age 90, of Goldston passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Beavers was born September 4, 1928 to Braxton Luther Andrews and Jessie Lee Wilkie Andrews.

She was a native of Chatham County and a 1945 graduate of Bonlee School. She was a life-long member of Bear Creek Baptist Church where through the years she served on numerous committees, taught Adult Sunday School Classes, served as VBS Director and was a member of the WMU. She was an excellent homemaker and seamstress who loved gardening, sewing, needlework, and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, William W. Beavers, Sr., daughters: Betty Beavers of Bear Creek and Pam Haga and husband, Lamie of Columbus, GA; son: Billy Beavers and wife, Doreen of Bear Creek; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mrs. Lillian Andrews Stinson.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 at Bear Creek Baptist Church 480 Bonlee-Carbonton Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Val Chadwick and Rev. David Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
