JOHN ALAN HASTREITER
(1974 - 2016)

John A. Hastreiter, age 42, a Manitowoc resident, died unexpectedly while out on his evening run on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

John was born on January 30, 1974 in Manitowoc, son of Roger and the late Carole Neilitz Hastreiter. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1992. John served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hohenfels, Germany. He was honorably discharged in September of 2000. John was employed as a millwright with Allstates Rigging until his accident in 2004. He then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2015 in the field of Kinesiology. John was also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist. He was currently studying to be a physicians assistant.

Survivors include his daughter: Emerald Hastreiter; his special friend: Kelly Zutz; his father: Roger Hastreiter; brothers and sisters: Chris (Tim) Newton, and their daughters, Cory (Greg) Romanowski and Casey (Tim) Entringer, Jim Hastreiter and his daughters, Cheryl and Amanda, Jeff (Carol) Hastreiter and their children, Calum and Keely, Connie (Brian) Loose and their twin sons, Zach and Drew, Joel Hastreiter (special friend Tina Brouchoud) and his daughters, Hailey and Heather, Cathy (Bryan) Peltonen and their daughter Chloe, Joshua Hastreiter; mother of his daughter: Amy Johnson. Great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.
