Mrs. Edna Padgett Caldwell, age 85, of Charlotte passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Asbury Care Center. She was born in Lincoln County NC, daughter of Loren Vaughn and Edna Lillian Barnette Padgett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George Caldwell, a brother, Calvin Padgett, and a sister, Anita (Pat) Stuart.
Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Dilworth United Methodist Church, and with her husband George, owned and operated George Caldwell Printing Company and Caldwell Business Forms, Inc. in Mt Holly, NC.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 3:00 P. M. at Restoring Hope Church 1026 Dallas-Stanley Hwy. Dallas, NC 28034.
Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Caldwell Wesson and husband Rick of High Shoals, NC, son, George P. Caldwell and wife Bobbie of York, SC, Grandchildren, Sara McCarter and husband Chuck of High Shoals, Chelsea Caldwell of York, SC, Joy Campbell of Marshville, NC and two great grandchildren, Aundrea and Jacob Campbell, of Marshville, NC.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Parker Terrace at Aldersgate, Asbury Care Center and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte.
