(1939 - 1994)

Judy was a gentle and loving mother and wife. She passed away in her home surrounded by her family March 18, 1994, after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy resided at 929 South 35th St., Manitowoc, and was 54 years old. She was born June 11, 1939.

Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 1994, at the St. Mary’s Home Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Judy was born in Manitowoc, daughter of Lydia Trombly McKay and the late Harold McKay. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School graduating with the Class of 1958. She married Clinton Van Patton on October 1, 1960, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Judy was a nurses assistant at St. Mary’s Home for fourteen years and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clinton; her mother, Lydia Trombly McKay; four daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Brian Rusch, Bonnie and Sott Turczynski, Pam and Ross Swagel, Becky and Roger Basler, all of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Colten, Tyler, Kristin, Alisha, Daniel, and Angel; two brothers, Glenn McKay, Florida, Harold McKay, Illinois; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jenny and Ott Greene, Illinois, Jean and Gene Keough, Missouri, Barbara and Louis Rocheleau, Two Rivers; her mother-in-law and her husband, Willie Mae and Joe Hill, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Betty Eisch, Wisconsin, Joyce Rogers and her husband, Kenny, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and John McKay and one sister, Joan McKay.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 21, 1994, and Tuesday at St. Mary’s Home from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. A prayer service will be held Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. by Father Tom.

She will be so dearly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren and all those who loved her. Her memory will always live in us.
