Mother of Richard and Luella
Grace E. Beauchot, 93, of Monroeville, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Friday morning, October 10, 1997 at Harborside Healthcare, New Haven, where she had been admitted just a few hours prior to her death. She had fallen at her apartment in Monroeville on Sunday and fractured her hip.
Mrs. Beauchot was born on May 21, 1904 at Allen County, Indiana to Charles and Louella (Freese) Simmers. She had been a resident of the Monroeville area most all of her life. She was a homemaker and she also had been employed at Tokheim Corporation, Fort Wayne and the Squeeze Inn Restaurant in Monroeville many years ago. She had attended the East Liberty United Methodist Church.
She was married on July 8, 1924 at Hillsdale, Michigan to Leo F. Beauchot. He passed away on October 22, 1976. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beauchot was already preceeded in death by one son, Richard Beauchot and by one daughter, Mrs. Sam (Luella K.) Frasure.
Surviving are grandchildren, Mrs. Dave (Judy K.) Paris and Lee Ann "Sissy" Frasure, both of Monroeville, Sammy M. Frasure of Wawaka, Indiana, Lynn E. Frasure of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Rick V. Frasure of Monroeville, Indiana, Mrs. David (Mary Ann) Witte and Debbie Beauchot, both of Monroeville. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Marquart & Jacobs Funeral Home, Monroeville and an hour before services at the church. Funeral services were Monday, October 13, 1997 at East Liberty United Methodist Church, Monroeville with Pastor Rick Borgman officiating. Burial was in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Preferred memorials to the church, Monroeville EMS or Monroeville Fire Department. Pallbearers included: Rod Kever, Troy Frasure, Bill Paris, Dave Paris, Rich Heischman and Dave Simmers. A luncheon was served in the American Legion Hall following the services.
