Washington, UT - Glenda Lynn Coltrin passed away at her home in Washington, Utah Tuesday the 14th of August after a long battle with cancer.
She was born to Mark J. Baird and Ruth Melissa ( Smith) Baird on March 16th, 1944 in Murray, Utah, the 4th of 6 children. She lived in Draper, Utah attending schools there and graduated from Jordan High School in 1962.
After leaving Draper she lived in Salt Lake City where she worked for Beneficial Life Insurance Co. until meeting her future husband.
She married Bruce J. Coltrin on the 7th of October, 1963. They had 3 children together. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for the Kenworth Diesel Sales Co. in Salt Lake. After raising her family a strong desire to help others drove her back to school where she studied nursing and received an RN degree. She worked for a short period of time in long term care facilities and then became a recovery nurse for a local Doctor in his surgical suite, working there until moving with her husband to the St. George area.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, 2 sons, Steven (Gloria), Clinton (Stephanie) and a daughter Teresa (Allan Heaps), 8 grandchildren, 3 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be held in the Ridge Pointe community center located at 1360 E. Telegraph St., Washington, Utah at 10 am Tuesday, August 21st.
