Dorothy (Toliver) Fitts was born on April 16, 1916 in Davidson County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Oma (Miller) (Toliver) (Sutton) (Roy) Sorrow (1890–1962) and her 1st husband Ervin Francis Toliver (1886–1924).
She was married to Thomas Hubert Fitts.
Living at 205 Hancock Street in Nashville, Davidson County, Dorothy was 29 years old and married when she fell from a moving automobile on August 15, 1945 and fractured her head. She died the same day at Nashville General Hospital, and was buried two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison {city, not county}.
