OBITUARY

On January 27, 2001 with family and friends at his bedside, David Richard (Rick) Kleiner, peacefully slipped from this life and entered the presence of his Father in Heaven, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.
Formerly of Mesa, AZ, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Rick was always be remembered for his love and service to others, his honesty and integrity, and his strong work ethic.
These qualities served him well in all of his church callings which included Elders Quorum President, Stake Young Men's President, Bishop's Counselor, High Priest Group Leader and Bishop.
Rick received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Arizona State University. He was employed by Familian Northwest/Plumbers Supply, Inc. as a Branch Manager in St. George, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Whiting Kleiner, and seven children; Joshua, Daniel, Jacob, Matthew, Elizabeth, Michael, and Stephen of Ivins, Utah. Also surviving are Ricks mother Shirley Kleiner and brothers John (Kerri Sue) and Kent (Cindy) all of Mesa, AZ. Rick was preceded in death by his father, John Patrick Kleiner Sr.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February 1, 2001, at 12:00 noon at the Ivins LDS Stake Center. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church.
