He was the previous owner of Burger Queen and Sav-A-Lot, among others, in Princeton and member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Springfield, Kentucky. Alex served as a military policeman in the Army.
Alex is survived by his wife of 20 years; two sons, of Princeton; one sister, and husband, of Springfield, Kentucky; two brothers; one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Francis and Delena Barber Simms; stepson, Andrew Young; two sisters, Flo Cambron and Gail Ogburn; and one brother, John Barber Simms.
Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, September 22 at Morgan's Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Boone officiating.
