Alice J. Becker, age 93 a resident of Manitowoc died on Saturday morning, April 16, 2016 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on December 17, 1922 in Powers, Michigan, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Dugre) Wheeler. Alice was a graduate of Powers-Spalding High School with the class of 1939. On September 13, 1941 she married Allen Becker in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1989. Alice was very involved in her Catholic Faith. She was a "Champion" for life and family. Alice did a lot of volunteer work at Rivers Bend and St. Paul Catholic Church. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing.

Survivors include six daughters and sons-in-law: Ann and Joel O'Connell, Two Rivers, Dolores and Don Baryenbruch, Omro, Susan and Tom Czerwinski, Manning, South Carolina, Eileen and Glen Trenholm, Machesney Park, Illinois, Ruth Becker and Dano Saunders, Sedona, Arizona, Mary Jo Becker and life partner Ken Dresang, Whitelaw, Jerry Peotter, Seymour; one son: Jeffrey Becker and Brad Burkart, Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Jean Wheeler, Manitowoc; and a special family friend: Lisa (Ric) Bartz. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Rose Becker and Adele Peotter; two sons: Gerald Paul Becker and Gerard Francis Becker; one grandson: Nicholas Thompson; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Francis Wheeler, Stewart Wheeler, Robert and Rose Wheeler, George and Emily Wheeler; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Margaret and Daniel Mangin, and a baby sister Ethel; three brothers-in-law: Grover (Midge) Becker, Gailord Becker, Clayton (Gerry) Becker.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave., Manitowoc). Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established at a later date.
