Loren Paul Rech

ROUNDUP – Loren Paul Rech, 61, died Nov. 14 from the results of an explosion at an oil tank storage north of Gage. He was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Greybull, Wyo., the son of Emil and Irene Bills Rech.

He grew up in the Greybull area and attended Greybull schools. He attended school in the Greybull and Roundup area and later finished his schooling in North Carolina. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He married Joy Kilby in Roundup on April 6, 1955, and they had lived in Roundup since. He was a rancher and a local Roundup businessman. He was a member of the Roundup Fire Department, the First Methodist Church in Roundup and the Masonic Lodge Unity No. 71. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a hard-working, honest family man.

He is survived by his widow, Joy Rech of Roundup; his mother, Irene Rech of Absarokee; his father- and Mother-in-law, Boone and Alice Kilby of Roundup; three sons, Mitchell L. and his wife Doreen of Roundup; Craig L. and his wife Patsy of Billings and Clint and his wife Callie of Wilsall; one daughter, Stacey Schwab and her husband Mick of Roundup; two brothers, Stanley of Absarokee and Ray of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Agnes Roundy of Las Vegas, Nev., Dorothy Davis of Phoenix, Ariz. And Rose Mae Hanson of Junction City, Ore.; four grandchildren, Casey, Ashley and Sterling Rech and John Schwab

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 18, in the First United Methodist Church in Roundup. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the charity your choice. Cremation has taken place. Wier Funeral home of Roundup is in charge of arrangements.
