Robert R. Rice, 90, of Bloomsburg, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1928, in Wellsboro, a son of the late Claude and Margaret (Cale) Rice.
He attended Wellsboro High School and then joined the United States Army, retiring Feb. 1, 1969. Robert enjoyed reading. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #564.
Robert is survived by four children: Roxanne Vanzille, Dorothy Rice, Penny K. Bacon, Vicki Clark; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters: Evelyn and Beverly.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife, the former Hilda Hubbard, who passed away April 21, 2014; son, Donald Rice; daughter, Robin Jenkins; brother, Richard Rice; and sister, Alberta.
