Husband of Irene F. Boynton Jack. Father of Franklin J. Jack. Franklin was born the son of Merle F. and Lillian Maud Skinner Jack.
Franklin passed on at Maine General Hospital in Waterville. He graduated from Buckfield High School and through the Navy attended Wenworth Institute. He worked as a machinist at Wilner Wood Products, Maine Machine Co., Raytheon, and retired from Scott Paper in Winslow.
He was a member of Evening Star Lodge AF & AM in Buckfield for more than 40 years, a 32nd degree Mason, and was a member of the Augusta Valley Scottish Rites and Kora Temple. He was a caring and giving man who was always helping family and friends. He loved to talk and was a devoted and loving grandfather.
Franklin faithfully served his country in the Navy aboard the "Pararie" as a machinist mate. On June 12, 1947, he married Irene Boynton.
Survivors include his wife of Winslow; a daughter, Cathleen and her husband, Douglas Holgerson, of West Rockport; four grandchildren, Michelle Winter, Christopher Jack, Benjamin Holgerson, and Carly Holgerson; two great-grandchildren, Kaullan Winter and Tucker Ryan Holgerson; two brothers, Merle of Oxford, and Leland and his wife, Dale, of Buckfield; three sisters, Marion and John Crockett, Phyllis and Edward Kimball, and Betty and Don Fox, all of Buckfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Franklin J. Jack; twin granddaughters, Hope and Liza Thompson; and two brothers, Erland and Norman.
Evening Star Lodge AF & AM will conduct Masonic services at the funeral.
