In 1930 the First United Methodist Church relocated and built their new Church on this location. It is stated by the Val Verde Historical Commission that some of the graves were relocated but some where not. Also, the adjoining street name was changed to Pecan street from Cemetery Street. The Church stated that their historical documents that are stored in the basement are now being archived so perhaps in the near future their will be some record of who was relocated, who was not, and to where were they relocated. They now have one of the biggest and most beautiful monuments ever, the beautiful Methodist Church.
