Merrill R. Hopkins, 861 Voelker St., De Pere, died Friday afternoon at this home.
Born April 3, 1904 in Roselawn to the late Mark and Pearl Hopkins, he formerly lived in Appleton, and in the Green Bay-De Pere area for the past 40 years. On April 10, 1941, he married Gladyce R. Kuhnle. Mr. Hopkins was a manufacturers broker for paint and painting supplies.
He was a member of the Green Bay Elks Club, Oneida Golf and Riding Club, and the Milwaukee-Chicago North Shore Athletic Club. For Many years he was a major league bowler in Green Bay.
Survivors are his wife; one brother, Everett, Ripon; one nephew, Daniel Hopkins Bork, Kaukauna; two great nephews, Daniel Jr. and William Bork, Kaukauna.
There will be no visitation. Concelebrated funeral services 7 p.m. Monday at St. Matthews Church, with the Rev. Roy Geenen officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
A memorial fund has been established for the Curative Workshop.
