Wallace C. Russell, 59, a retired farmer of Howard St. in Campbellsville, son of the late Claude Russell and Annie Lee Saunders Russell, was born in Taylor County, Jan. 17, 1933. He died at 3:28 P.M. , Friday, Sept. 4, 1992, in Campbellsville after an extended illness. He was a member of the Green River Memorial Church. He was married to Norma Laverne Goode, on Dec. 21, 1954. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Vickie Smith, Russell Springs; and Rita Ford, Lebanon; two grandchildren, Kevin Ford and Amanda Ford, both of Lebanon,; three step-children, Charles l. Smith, Lawrenceville, Ga., Joe David Smith and Amy Jo Kerr, both of Russell Springs. one step-great-grand-daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Kerr, Russell Springs; two sisters and four brothers, Velma McVay, Grace Wilson, Tom Russell, and Leslie Russell, all of Campbellsville, Bob Russell and Richard Lee Russell, both of Louisville; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Lewis Russell. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 7, at the Green River Memorial Baptist Church in Campbellsville, with the Rev. Don Gowin and the Rev. Earl Pike officiating and burial was in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry Wilson, Gill Wilson, Mike Russell, Steve Russell, Tommy McVay, and Randy McVay.
