Mrs. Barbara Evans Alexander, eighty-three, widow of Rolandis A. Alexander, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mathias Gebhart, Lancaster R1; East Hempfield Twp., after an illness of five months. She was a daughter of the late George and Susan Henry Evans and had resided with her daughter for the past six years. Prior to that time she lived in Conestoga Twp. She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Conestoga Center and the Ladies' Aid Society of the Church. She is survived by the following children: Susan, wife of Matthias Gebhart; Lloyd, Letort; Chester, Lancaster; and Evans, Conestoga R1. Fifteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive.
