Agnes Mae Meyer, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village.

Agnes was born on June 26, 1931 in Manitowoc to the late Albert and Rose Svatek Meyer. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. Agnes became employed with Maple Cress Sanatorium in Whitelaw. Then in 1968, she went to Holy Family School of Nursing and graduated in 1971. Agnes was employed with Holy Family, and then for Dr. Terry Gueldner from 1975 until her retirement in 1996. She was both a caretaker and companion to her mother, Rose. Agnes enjoyed spending her time travelling, sewing, volunteering within her community, and spending time doing anything with her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Clare Society, Catholic Women's Club, Sierra Club, and the Manitowoc Historical Society.

Survivors include Agnes' sister: Rosemary Stradal, Albuquerque, NM; brother: Albert (Elaine) Meyer, Manitowoc; eight surviving nieces and nephews: Bill (Carmen) Stradal, Joe (Julie) Meyer, Sharon (Greg) Nonnemacher, Jerry (Lethuy) Meyer, Bob (Jane) Meyer, Jim (Rita) Meyer, JoAnn (Mark) Peroutka, and LeeAnn (Rick) Meyer; also other relatives and friends. She had a special bond with her great niece and nephew Heidi and Alex Meyer. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister: Mary Jane Meyer; sister: Sister JoAnn Francita Meyer; brother-in-law: Kenneth Stradal; and niece: Jane Stradal.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. William Brunner and Rev. Gerald Foley. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 5 p.m. until the time of the prayer service led by Rev. Gerald Foley at 7 p.m. The visitation will continue at church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
