Thelma Cecilia Mills, 92, of Flaherty, KY, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center, Radcliff, KY.
Mrs. Mills was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendrick Henry Mills; a son, Michael Mills; a daughter, Rita Ann Mills; and two grandsons, Bruce Mills and Ricky Vowels; two sisters, Marie Whelan and Theresa Shields; and five brothers, Bernie Shircliff, Ed Shircliff, Russell Shircliff, Charles Shircliff and Marvin Shircliff.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, James H. "Jess" Mills of Flaherty, Joseph A. and Dottie Mills of Louisville, KY, Gene and Judy Mills of Vine Grove and William K. and Nena Mills of Louisville, KY; four daughters and their husbands, Mary Frances and Jim Harbison of Brandenburg, KY, Jo Ann and Budgie Edwards of Louisville, Linda Jane and Greg Stith and Theresa and Al Elliott all of Ekron, KY; one sister, Rose Widmer of Spokane, WA; a brother, Raphael Shircliff of Elizabethtown; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty with Rev. Paul Beach officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 P. M. and Tuesday beginning at 9:00 A. M. at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Vine Grove. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P. M. Monday at the funeral home with Deacon John Richard Whelan officiating.
