Dale J. Schmoock, age 74, of 13932 Hwy. 42, Mishicot, a lifetime farmer of the town of Two Creeks, died Monday afternoon, June 3, 1996, at his residence after a short illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 1996, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. David Scherbarth will officiate with burial in Riverview (sic) Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Dale was born January 17, 1922, son of the late Werner and Mabel Stoer Schmoock. He attended Twin Elder School in the town of Two Creeks and graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers. On November 30, 1944, he married Eleanor Zipperer in Kewaunee. She preceded him in death January 15, 1989. He then married Dorothy Kubichek Bergelin June 19, 1992. Dale was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. He served on the Town Board of Two Creeks for 25 years and served on the Manitowoc County Board and County Human Services Board. He was a past member of the Mishicot School Board, a member of WFLA Lodge #142, Two Rivers. He received the Honorary Farmer Award from the Mishicot FFA, served as director of S/F Co-op. He also served as chairman of the Manitowoc County Red Cross. Dale had been a director of the State Towns Association and president of Manitowoc County Towns Association, a director for Mishicot Town Mutual Insurance company for 11 years, charter member, past president of Two Creeks Fire Department, a member of West Shore Sportsman Club. He had been an officer in the Manitowoc Farm Bureau Board of director of Mishicot Ambulance Service, a member and past president of Silver K Kiwanis Club, Two Rivers. Dale enjoyed playing cards with friends and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Gary and Lynn Schmoock, Chapel Hills, N.C., Wayne Schmoock, Madison, Jim and Carol Schmoock, Jefferson City, Mo., Fred and Louise Schmoock, Mishicot, John and Louise Schmoock, St. Paul, Minn.; five grandchildren, Aeon, Anne, Kimberly, Allison and Joshua Schmoock; one great-granddaughter, Amanda; one brother, Paul (Anita) Schmoock, Kellnersville; two sisters, Eilleen (Joe) Taddy, Two Rivers, Nancy (Dick)Duthey, Knoxville, Ken.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Orville Kuep, Maribel, Lorraine and Elmer Kinsetter, Kewaunee, Dolores and Melvin Shimon, Manitowoc, Louis Kubachek, Eau Claire; very special friends, Oscar and Alma Elliott, and Dale and Ethelyn Bolle; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his fathers and mothers-in-law, Albert and Elsie Zipperer, Louis and Theresa Kubachek; nieces, Cindy Parkos, Ursula Schmoock; nephews, Lowell Kuep and Bill Schmoock; and a brother-in-law, Stan Parkos.

Friends may call at lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
