Arthur W. Agard 1870 - 1871
Arthur Warren Agard, infant son of Norman C. and Marietta Ward Agard, was born on August 5, 1870 in Waverly, Morgan County, Illinois and died there on June 5, 1871 in the Waverly Township area of Morgan County, Illinois. He has a small weathered limestone grave marker located next to that of his grandparents, Jonathan G. (b. 1802) and Comfort Shumway (b. 1805) Agard and he and his brother Frank Herbert (that also died in infancy in 1873) share the back side of their parents Norman C. and Marietta Ward Agard's larger marker located nearby...
FYI: I too, have Agards in my family line from the Ursa Township area in Adams County, Illinois and as the name of Agard is not necessarily a common surname, I would be interested to know if the Agards buried in the East Cemetery at Waverly in Morgan County, Illinois are connected to my Agard family from the Adams County area of Illinois...If anyone knows for sure, please send me an email...mrbrtsn
