Amelia Jane Sylvia Randall was born on 26 October 1914 in Richmond London. She was the daughter of George Mann Randall and his wife Fanny Netta nee Lansley. She married Arthur John Matthews on 8 April 1939 at The Salvation Army Hall, Railway Street, Surrey North Eastern, Surrey. In 1939 she lived at 40 Treen Avenue Barnes, London. with her parents George and Fanny. Her husband was not listed as living there, possibly due to his military service. Between 1940 and 1947 Amelia and Arthur had 5 sons and 1 daughter. The family emigrated to Australia on 17th January 1958 to emigrate to Australia. They arrived in Sydney on 23 February 1958. They were billeted in the Mayfield Migrant Hostel for 4 Months. Amelia and Arthur then brought a house at Marmong Point, were they lived until Amelia took sick and they sold up and moved into Hawkings Masonic Village. Amelia died in 1984 at Hawkins Masonic Village, Edgeworth, Newcastle NSW Australia.
