Marion Melvina (Johnson) Womack, age 82, of Friendship, passed from this life on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at her home. She was born February 6, 1925, in Friendship, the daughter of the late Richard & Dollie Ayers Johnson. Marion was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Womack.
Marion is survived by one daughter, Francinne Delaloye of Dallas, TX, three sons, Leland & Ben Womack, both of Friendship and Tom "Cotton" Womack & his wife, Martha of Friendship, two sisters, Estelle Buck & her husband Vernon of Grants Pass, OR. & Jeane Shively & her husband Marvin of Puyallup, WA, six granddaughters, one grandson and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Hollis McDermott & Ronnie Hardin officiating. Interment will be in Gilchrist Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Family hours are 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Kevin Godwin, Brent Godwin, Boyd Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Bobby Babb, Richard Johnson, Gilbert Morrison, Richard Mathews & Allan Johnson.
