Bobby Dean Adair, 72, passed away on September 27, 2018, at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on December 31, 1945, in Carthage, Texas, to Luther and Mary Adair.

Bobby grew up in Bronson, Texas, and graduated from West Sabine High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force, completing tours in both Vietnam and Korea. After an honorable discharge from the military, he worked and attended the University of Houston. He worked many jobs throughout his career as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and Supervisor, mainly international locations, but some US-based jobs as well.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Vickie Adair, son Ryan Adair, and brother Belton Adair. He is survived by his son Michael Adair; his daughter Robbie Adair and spouse Mikall Hill; his sister Betty Stribley; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Bobby requested to not have a funeral service, but rather a gathering in celebration of his life. The gathering will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018, starting at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that people consider volunteering or donating to the VA Hospital in Houston. The VA provided Dad with years of medical support and we are grateful for the care he received. Information on volunteering or donating can be found here on their website: https://www.houston.va.gov/giving/index.asp.
