Minnie Garmon Burch Fowler, age 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died at 7:30 am, Friday, January 30, 1959, after an extended illness.

Born in Hot Springs, NC, daughter of John C. Gorman (1855-1940) and Jane Cook Gorman (1861-1918); wife of Thomas Varday Burch (1890–1922) and William J. Fowler.

A member of Green Street Baptist Church and a retired textile worker.

Survived by daughters, Ruby Fay Burch Waters (1911–1972), Mable Burch Fowler (1913-1969), and Irene Burch Miller (1921-2005); sons, Lewis Woodrow Burch (1916–1996) and Johnnie Edear Burch (1918–1999); sisters, Leona Garman and Noda Messer; brothers, Rile Garman and Bob Garman; fourteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, at J.F. Floyd Mortuary by Rev. J.S. Cobb, Rev. John Bray, and Rev. John T. Tippett; burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
