MIDDLEBURY, VT. - Muriel May (Clough) Emmons, age 81, of Middlebury, passed away on Monday, October 1st 2018 at EastView in Middlebury, Vt.

Mrs. Emmons was born on November 5th 1936 in Richford, Vt., she was the daughter of Philip and Leona (Goodhue) Clough.

She grew up in Richford, Vt. where she received her early education and graduated from Richford High School Class of 1955.

She earned her degree from Johnson State Teachers College.

She taught school, for several years.

She had done Clerical Work at the Porter Hospital as well as Middlebury College both in Middlebury, Vt.

She married Jacob "Jake" Quick Emmons on July 15th 1977 in Vergennes, Vermont, and resided on their farm in Whiting, Vt. until retiring to Middlebury, Vt. in 2011. Mr. Emmons predeceased her on May 21st 2018.

She was also predeceased by one brother; Charles Clough and two sisters; Marjorie Dubrule and Virginia Day.

Arrangements by the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home on 26 Franklin Street in Brandon, Vt.

The graveside committal service and burial will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandon, Vt.
