Frances “Naoma” Bryce Smith, 86, of Winnie, Texas, passed away at home on September 27, 2018, surrounded by family.

She was born on April 1, 1932, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Ruby Mae Corbitt and Bufford Clell Bryce, and lived in Winnie all her adult life.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by daughters, Thelma Smith, Brenda Smith Bartlett and her husband, Claude, Laura Smith Dugas, and Lorraine Smith Gibson; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; six step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandsonr; sister, Jean Bryce Phelps; brothers, Richard Bryce and his wife, Marilyn and Roger Bryce and his wife, Bonnie; sister-in-law, Shirley Bryce Dykes; brothers-in-law, Homer Barrett and Raymond Kunefke; stepsister, Nancy Cathey Carter; stepbrother, Allen Cathey; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.C. “Smitty” Smith, Jr.; sisters, Ruby Ellen Bryce Barrett; Faye Bryce Kunefke; and Thelma Carthell Bryce; brothers, Lonnie Bryce and his wife, Wanda; George Bryce; James Edgar Bryce; and Harvey Buster Bryce; sister-in-law, Mary Lucille Smith; brother-in-law, Frank Phelps; stepsisters, Joy Cathey Shelton and Mary Jean Ruff Sherrill; stepbrothers, Clovis Cathey, Kenneth Cathey, and Paul Cathey; and step-grandchildren, John K. Bartlett, Dana Bartlett, and Kaylee Dugas.
