His mother was listed as Pauline Hanson, housekeeper, married, age 21, born Denmark. Pauline and Leon married in 1911. In the 1920 census Edgar is listed as Edgar Spoon but is again listed as Edgar Hanson in the 1930 census. All records after that he is using Spoon as a surname. Pauline did marry one Christian Hanson in Clymer NY in August of 1906. Therefore, Christian is more than likely Edgar's biological father.
