His death certificate gives very little information and is indexed by the Secretary of State's office incorrectly as Solomon Brisley. His wife was listed as Martha.

He was discharged on 8/22/1865

He was listed as: Wounded 6/3/1864 Cold Harbor, VA

After the War he lived in Seligman, MO

Soloman Bierly was of Pennsylvania decent, he served in the Civil War and was wounded by a rifle bullet in his shin in the battle of Gettysburg. He was discharged from the army and hospital August 22nd, 1865.

He served under Captain John S. Anderson, Company ("A") 148th Regiment of Infantry, Pennsylvania. He enrolled in August 21st of 1862, at the age of 18.

He moved to Seligman soon after that and married Martha Weston.

Solomon and Martha Bielry had four daughters, Hattie, Maggie, Rose and Lola, one son, Edward, who was veteran of the Spanish American War.

In 1875 they purchased about 30 acres along what is now highway 112. They built a log house in which they lived, until about 1895, when the two-story house now called the Bielry house, was built. Soloman Bierly was a farmer and fruit grower.
